Ken, 46, is a self-employed business owner from Stuart who joined Precision Dating in 2006. Although he had many matches and met a lot of beautiful women, he still hadn't met the one for him. Yuliya, 34, a medical technologist from Ukraine now living in Stuart, joined our club in April 2009--just seven days before the Speed Dating event was to take place. She was able to grab one of the last available seats, and showed up on the evening of 5/7 looking fabulous. There were seven girls in her age group that night, and each was given her own table for two. The seven men in attendance rotated from table to table so that everyone would meet at least once, for a seven-minute speed date.The staff watched from across the room as Yuliya and Ken met for the first time. To say they make a stunning couple is an understatement! At 6'1", 185lbs, with green eyes and light brown hair, Ken resembles a real-life "Ken" doll. And Yuliya, at 5'7" tall, 125lbs, with her blonde hair and sparkling personality, truly could be his "Barbie" counterpart. Of course, they hit it off right away and both discreetly said YES to each other on their private scorecards. After the results were tallied, we released contact info to those who had matched up so the man could call the woman to set up another date. Ken did not hesitate to call Yuliya, and they began dating immediately.
It was only one month later that they called us to go Inactive; they had decided to date each other exclusively. Their relationship took off after that! At Christmastime they took a trip to Ukraine to meet Yuliya's family, and not long after they had been dating for a year, Ken proposed! They are now happily engaged and looking forward to a long, joyful marriage. Fate was definitely on their side when it came to this match made in heaven--timing truly is everything. If Ken hadn't RSVP'd for the Speed Dating party early, he may never have gotten a seat that night. And if Yuliya hadn't joined when she did, she may have missed the party altogether. Luckily, the stars aligned for this spectacular couple and everything worked out the way it was meant to. We wish them many more happy years together!
